Casa Serena, a well-respected Italian old age home, is renowned for its commitment to exceptional care within a warm, family-like atmosphere. Position Overview:
The General Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of Casa Serena, ensuring that elderly residents receive the highest standard of care. This leadership position involves managing staff, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a culture of empathy, professionalism, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management: Lead staffing, budgeting, and facility maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations.
Resident Care: Ensure personalized, high-quality care tailored to the needs of residents.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated team committed to excellence.
Compliance: Uphold full compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Community Engagement: Build and strengthen relationships with families, the Italian community, and external partners.
Financial Management: Oversee the facility’s budget to maintain financial health while upholding care standards.

Key Traits & Qualifications:

Leadership & Management Experience: Proven leadership skills, with a background in healthcare or residential care.
Healthcare Knowledge: A strong understanding of geriatric care, healthcare regulations, and risk management.
Compassion & Empathy: A person-centered approach, with excellent communication skills and a deep commitment to the well-being of residents.
Family Relations: Skilled in engaging with families of residents, addressing their concerns, and ensuring proper care for their loved ones.
Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management and fundraising to ensure the facility’s sustainability.
Adaptability & Problem-Solving: The ability to innovate, handle crises, and think creatively in challenging situations.
Cultural Sensitivity & Inclusivity: A commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment, with a strong appreciation for Italian culture. Proficiency in Italian is an advantage.
Marketing & Promotion: Experience in social media, marketing, and advertising is essential for promoting the cause.
Hospitality Industry Experience: Experience in the hospitality industry is a strong plus.
Educational Background: A management degree is required, with a strong preference for candidates who also have a medical qualification. Knowledge of healthcare software, terminology, regulatory policies, and budgeting tools is important.
