Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and detail-oriented professional with strong organisational skills to manage our Business Services activities and oversee key marketing & communications content.

The ideal candidate will support Italian and local companies through market entry services, partner search, and market research, while also ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of our main communication materials. In addition to working directly with companies, the role involves delivering services for Italian public stakeholders.

Given the Chamber’s cross-sectoral activities, the candidate will be required to conduct in-depth sector analyses across a variety of industries.

The role also includes coordinating and managing buyers programmes for international exhibitions, ensuring smooth organisation and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver business support services to companies and institutional stakeholders, including: Identification of commercial partners and business opportunities and market research and in-depth sector analysis across multiple industries
  • Manage projects on behalf of Italian public stakeholders involving multiple companies, ensuring structured execution and high-quality outcomes
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored, well-structured solutions
  • Build and manage relationships with client companies, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction
  • Coordinate and oversee the development of key marketing and communication materials (website, newsletters, presentations, promotional assets, and ItalCham’s annual publication), ensuring consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Draft and edit high-quality content in line with ItalCham’s communication strategy
  • Coordinate and manage buyers programmes for international exhibitions, including participant selection, stakeholder coordination, logistics, and on-site support, ensuring smooth and well-organised execution

Requirements and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in any field; degrees in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related areas are preferred but not required
  • Fluency in Italian and English (spoken)
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English (Italian is a strong advantage)
  • Previous experience in business consulting, market research, or trade promotion is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with a structured and process-oriented approach
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct and synthesise in-depth sector analyses
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive mindset and problem-solving attitude
  • Knowledge of the Italian and/or South African business environment
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, including institutional counterparts, is an advantage
